Sherrod Brown.

Is going to crush Paul Hackett in any primary.  He is brutally honest, tough and someone who can overcome any bullshit tags that are laid upon him he is a leading Fair Trade advocate and can make clear to people in rural Ohio that he want to go to the Senate to actually make sure people can put food on the table and give their children the opportunity to keep their farms in the family through use of alternative fuels such as soybean oil, and ethanol from corn and sugar cane.  He'll do what Kerry didn't and tell the Republicans to shove their girly name calling up their ass. Therfore lets have Hackett run for Brown's current House seat at Brown's request and keep the Ohio 13th well represented.

How tough is Sherrod Brown (none / 0)

if he had to be dragged into this race and still couldnt make up his mind after months of begging?

I would have supported him a couple of months ago. He said no to this race. Now that it looks more winnable he gets in.

Not classy.

Brown-Hackett (none / 0)

I hope Ohio Dems can avoid an expensive primary; we do NOT need this.  Agreed that
Brown would make the more experienced Senator.  Good concept to have Paul H go for the vacant House seat, but he doesn't live in Brown's district, although I'm not certain that's a requirement.  Brown may be testing waters for something else at this time. All sort of
baroque politics right now. Hackett has certainly had discussions with the DSCC; I REALLY hope he can avoid inside-the-beltway
consultants and handlers, who are nearly all
losers...remember Bob Shrum?
